As a boy, Shore grew up not even playing hockey. He enjoyed playing baseball & Horseback riding. His older brother, Aubrey, played hockey growing up and Eddie followed in his foot steps. Shore started his career with the minor hockey team in Cupar, the Cupar Canucks. Eddie also played with the Regina Capitals in 1925 in the Western Canada Hockey League (WCHL) and finished the season in last place of the league. Shore moved to a different team, the Edmonton Eskimos in 1926 who are the defending champions of the WCHL.

When you get your number retired it's more than an honor. Since Shore and some other Bruins hero's got their numbers retired, every player can never where the number again.
