Examples of "Social Justice"

Anita Sarkeesian

A media commentator who runs the website Feminist Freqency, which covers video games and pop culture with a feminist perspective. She frequently comments on the portrayal of women in video games, and is easily offended by male protoganists and violence. Sarkeesian has been the targets of an incredible amount of online hate (she was also caught up in Gamergate) but has been consistently hypocrital and inciteful.

University of Missouri Protests

Gamergate

Rachel Dolezal

This mess started with allegations that gaming journalist Zoe Quinn wrote positive reviews of video game developer's games based on past relationships with them. What followed was a massive series of controversies and internet arguments as people harassed Quinn and other women who supported her while several gaming websites launched a smear campaign to derail the movement. Neither side has remained innocent and the arguments continue to rage more than a year later.

This woman was the president of the NAACP chapter in Spokane, Washington...until June 2015 when her parents publicly stated she was white. She claimed that she always identified as an African-American, and some deluded supporters of her backed the claim she was "transracial".

African-American students at the University of Missouri claim the campus has a racist atmosphere. The black members of the football team refuse to play until System President Tim Wolfe resigns. Large parts of the student body stage protests. Wolfe soon resigns, yet a wave of racially-motivated protests spreads in college campuses across the country.

Yale Students

A group of Yale students were offended by Halloween costumes their classmates were wearing. School adminstrators sent an email saying that the students can choose wahat to wear as they are adults. The offended students react with a massive backlash, claiming that it is creating an unsafe environment for them.
