LIONFISH CLAIRE GALLAGHER
A Lionfish is a fish that lives in many oceans now, due to it's adaptability to new habitats, and ecosystems. They survie off of the new ecosystem by eating the native species. They can destroy an ecosystem in a very short amount of time. They have not many natural predators in the new environment.
What would you do?
If I was able to save the habitats the Lionfish is destroying, I would send out a chemical into where the Lionfish are, that only affects the Lionfish, and no other sea life.
Lionfish
An invasive species is a Species of organism (Any living thing) that is not native to an area (were not originally from there) and cause negative effect on it's new environment.
Lionfish are capable of destroying native plant species, and are stealing resources from native fish and other plant life. They are also altering habitats.
They are invading Atlantic waters, and reefs. These fish are destroying many reefs in the Atlantic, and preventing native species from survival
