Hypothesis

If a group of people were tested based on their memory during sleep and while they are awake, then, their memory will be better after their sleep because the memories will be consolidated.

Purpose

Many studies showed that sleep does not help memory,but instead prioritizes any information that the person deems important. The experimenters mentioned in the article wanted to try and prove that a person's memory is stronger when the person is asleep as opposed to someone who is awake.
