Evolutionism vs Creationism
The basics of Creationism
The basics of
Evolution
- Whales give live birth
- They feed milk to their young
- They are warm blooded
- They have no gills, they breathe with two fully developed lungs through blowholes
- A whale's Blowhole has 2 nasal passages
- many whales have hair like land mammals
- whales have arm, hand, wrist, and finger bones
- Whales have a pair of leg bones where hind legs should be
This species shows to be a transition from land mammal to aquatic mammal.
What do they mean?
Evolution:
Creationism/Creation Science
the belief that the universe and living organisms originate from specific acts of divine creation, as in the biblical account, rather than by natural processes such as evolution.
- The process by which different kinds of living
organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history
of the earth.
- The gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form.

Embryology and Development
Comparative Anatomy: Whales as Example
human
mouse
dolphin
Both species start out with arm buds and leg buds.
Both species have nostrils early on, in the dolphin it migrates to the top of the head and fuse together to become a blowhole.
DNA
- Whales' closest DNA relation is to Hippos
Fossil Record
Basilosaurid whale
killer whale
aquatic mammal
- The ancient walking whales shared the same leg bone as hippos
- Hippos birth and nurse underwater
- Both have multi-chamber stomachs, which is very rare in meat eating mammals like Whales
- Both grow very little whisker like hairs along the head and chin
- Both have internal testicles
Most land mammals have nasal passages at the end of the
snout, like this coyote skull. Obviously whales didn't come from coyotes, but it is highly likely they did descend from a similar land mammal.
Here we have the leg bones I mentioned earlier.
Considered a whale but could walk on land.
Timeline of change
there were many other transitional 'walking whales'
Evolutionism vs Creationism
There really isn't much of a contest. Evolution currently has more evidence just from looking at one species, imagine all we could discover from the 8 Million total species alive today!
- A change in traits over large period of time through sexual reproduction.
- Species that do not benefit from mutations often die out
- 95% of scientists support evolution.
- Life comes from specific acts of divinity
- every species was created separately
- Literalists believe that evolution cannot account for diversity on earth
- Beliefs based on Genesis
- 4/10 Americans support this theory.
- Some religious individuals may believe in evolution but still pick and choose what parts of the bible they identify with (theistic evolution)
- *Comparative anatomy
- *Embryology and Development
- *Fossil Record
- *DNA Comparison
Proof of Creation
- Evolution has yet to be observed, as by it's very nature we would not notice it happening
- Mankind is said to reflect God's image
It was difficult to find anything that didn't
misuse or misunderstand the science that
went into evolution.
Many proofs of creationism I found missed the context of evolution entirely. The best example of this was using the intelligent design the man body has that must have been made by a 'divine creator'. What these people don't realize is:
- Species evolve based on what works every time.
- Evolution comes from genetic oddities that benefit the species depending on surroundings.
- Species cannot evolve in a way that DOES NOT benefit them, because that branch will not have enough offspring to continue- they will die off because they are ill suited to their environment.
Creation is based on Faith
Creationism comes from a complete sense of trust and faith the written word handed down for thousands of years.
