Day Menu, where to find these ingredients

  • Formality and politeness is a must at dinner time in France.
  • It is considered rude to have hands hidden while at the table but elbows should never be on table.
  • Bread will always be served with your meal but you must rip off piece by piece, taking abite of a whole slice is 'boorish' in France.

France is surrounded by water giving them easy access to seafood easily. The land is mountainous on the sides. France has very fertile food making it perfect for growing fruit and vegetables and herbs also perfect for growing grapes for making some of the best wines worldwide.

  • yogurts or fruit are also staple in France.

•Éclair ( pastry dessert stuffed with cream with added icing on top

•Crème Brûlée ( custard with caramel on coated on top)

  • Moules : seafood cooked in garlic and typically served with fries ( restaurants)

Habits

  • Baguettes are typically eaten with chocolate and coffee in morning (pain au chocolat avec café) early breakfast while bakeries are opened
  • lunch between 12-3pm ( most places close during this time , stores etc. ) people tend to nap during this time.
  • late dinners 7-8 pm
  • Wine is one of the most important parts of dinner time.
