Internal Conflict: Martian vs self because the martian is trying to find the leader so that he can meet them for ex. it says on pg 125 how he took off frustrated

Title description

Ahmad J

Internal Conflict:Character vs society because the martian didn't get to meet the prime minister and news reporters made the Fosters look stupid and didn't believe them and the martian didnot get to meet the leader.

The title, “The Day the Martian Landed” is appropriate to me because the short story talks about a Martian, an important character who comes from space to Canada to meet the leader. Moreover the author talks about all the activities he did on the day he landed in the backyard of Mr. Foster.

Protagonist+Antagonist Rigerto.R

The protagonist of the “ Day the Martian Landed” is the martian since he is the person that is introduced more in this short story. The reason the Martian is the protagonist of this story is because he is the person that is talked about more. The antagonist of the story is Mr. FRED because he is against the Martian he even called the prime minister because he didn't want him in his house. Mrs. Fred was fine about it but not Mr.Fred. That's what makes Martian the protagonist and Mr.Fred the antagonist. Mr.Fred doesn't like the Martian since he isn't a human and he is from a different planet. But we should all respect people even if they look different from other people.

Plot By Ahmad.J

Point of view Ahmad.J

The story "The Day The Martian landed" takes place in a city in Ontario Canada. The story begins around 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon in Mr.Foster's house in a marvelous flying saucer with a gold fish bowl on his head. When the martian landed, Mr.Foster was sitting in the Living room in his Undershirt. The Martian Knocked at the front door and the Fosters invited him into their house. The duration of the story is around 4 or 5 days,This story is mysterious to me because The Martian is from outer space.ALso I feel pity for the Martian because he has been looking for a leader for 6 and a half years.

The point of view of the story is third person omniscient because the author goes into the minds of all the characters. To begin with, the author shows how frustrated Mr.Foster was when the martian kept on knocking at the door asking to see a leader. Moreover the fosters and especially the Martian were disappointed when he didn't get the invitation to meet the prime minister. Finally, the author revels the Martian's annoyed feeling when he didn't get to meet the leaders of the countries he visited.
