HIS LIFE
In 1489, Josquin entered the papal chapel of Innocent VIII.
Josquin actually never resigned from his service in Milan, the king was over thrown.
He worked for the duke in 1503,thats also when he moved back to Farrera, Italy.
Prez married Ercoles daughter , which was the kings ally.
In 1489.
He left his job in Farrera because the plague struck the city, he only worked there about a year until it was too much to handle.
People say he was very stubborn.he wrote when he wanted to,not when he was told to do so.
He was credited with"perfect art". He wrote 20 masses, several motets, and secular works. His "perfect art" was a new way for writing music and spreading it. He was the first composer to have a written book of music, this was new to everyone and so cleaver. He was also one of Martin Luther's favorite composers. He was loved .

His father died when he was about 15, no one knows what happened to his mother . He was adopted and moved to Italy with his aunt and uncle.

Renaissance is the time period he lived and created music .In other words the period of rebirth. during this time period, we had sort of a complete reformation, we took the classics and gave it life again. Science, art and education became very popular! This lasted from the 14th century to the 17th .
Josquin des Prez was born in A.D 1440 and died the 27th of August in 1521.
