You will have the opportunity to review your entry and edit as necessary at this page:

Once you finish adding a resource, you have the option to add another similar resource, add a different resource, or return to the ideaMap:

geographic focus...

You can add information about the resource's author:

institutional affiliation...

and a short description and key words.

Click on "Manage Resources" to open up your resource managment page, where you'll see all the resources you have added (both completed and partially completed).

You can click on the "Edit" button for any resources that you wish to edit or add to:

The partially completed resource will now appear on the ideaMap, and you can return to complete the entry anytime in your profile section under "Manage Resources":

On the "Map it" page, you must indicate the Theme(s), Subject(s), and Topic(s) of your resource. These Theme-Subject-Topic chains are the mechanism for organizing resources within theHive. You may select up to five (5) chains.

At this point you will have completed the minimum information required for the resource to appear in the ideaMap. If you wish to return later to complete the resource information, click "Save & Exit."

Starting from the ideaMap page, click on the "Add resources" button at the top right. You'll arrive at:

After filling out the name and URL of the resource, click "Next"...

You can add a resource to theHive quickly, and complement the entry with as much or little detail as you want.

The next few pages walk you through the brief process of adding resources and associated information.

Those few steps that are mandatory are marked with a (*).

Users of theHive can edit their profiles any time, by clicking on their name in the top right corner. They will arrive at this page:

The first thing you'll see in theHive is theBuzz, theHive's news and information center which provides a variety of updates and news related to FCV.

You can either click through the ideaMap's Theme-Subject-Topic chains to find specialists:

Clicking on theBuzz link at the top of the page, you'll see sections for News and Activity in theHive, such as Active Discussions, Recommended Reads, and Upcoming Events. You can click on a variety of items on this page for further information:

You can view the contents of theHive without signing in, but if you would like to add content or update your profile, please click in the top right corner of the home page to sign in. You will arrive at:

theHive is a knowledge-sharing platform designed to connect practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and organizations working on issues of fragility, conflict, and violence (FCV) around the world

If you click on the Institution "Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue" from that list, you'll see the following information about that Institution. Please note the description and link in the vertical bar on the right.

Click on the top resource shown in the S-curve, "Mapping arms Data Visualization Tool" to arrive at this page. The central portion of this page contains people, organizations, etc. related to this resource.

The right side of the page displays detailed information about the resource. You can click directly to the URL, or rate and discuss it with other users of theHive.

At the bottom right of this screen, you see that the user has rated this resource and is beginning a discussion of it using the "Start New Discussion Button."

At this and other points when you're clicking through the ideaMap, you will see a horizontal "breadcrumb" line near the top of the page, indicating which areas of the ideaMap you have navigated through to that point.
