High vs. Low
Pop Cutlture
Vonnegut cannot associate with high culture, which I believe to be connected to the fact he was at one point working in the business of low culture. The lowest form of pop culture would be advertisement.
Low or pop culture is found in our every day lives, from music on television to comic books, and movies in theaters.
The art found most common is pop or low culture.
Similarities
High Culture
-Low culture and high culture can clash at times for example placing a Vincent van Gogh on a common T-shirt.
An awareness for the finer things in life. Value of item found in few, and not well known.
Differences
-Low culture is mass produced to be viewed by the population of many.
- High culture is found in small quantities, and is not well understood by the popular mass of society.
