In all of the following religions that will be discussed, religious clothing represents the dedication one has for their religion. The clothing not only allows them to psychically express their devotion, but also adds another level of connection between the person wearing the clothing and the religion itself.

Religious clothing symbolizes the believe and purity of one who commits of having a spiritual bond with who they choose to praise/ worship

A traditional Buddhist just generally wears robes, but it varies.

- an inner robe, from the waist to the knee

- an upper robe, around the torso and shoulders

- an outer robe, used as a over garment

* The robes serve more than one purpose such as blankets.

The historical importance dates back back all the way to Sidartha Gautama who basically started as what Buddhists know today.

NORTH AMERICA

Once Buddhism was introduced, for example China, they added and changed some of the "uniform" to fit some of their own customs. This explains why there are so many styles, colours, and materials.

EUROPE

Jewish women generally wear cloths that cover their bodies. ( long skirts and jackets)

Married women wear wigs, to display their faithfulness for their husbands, hair symbolizes purity and they believe only their husband should be able to see it.

In terms of Jewish clothing, men typically wear a Kippah, in which is a small circular hat that is placed on the head. Depending on whether their a traditional or Orthodox Jew. A Kippah is not a religious commandment and is only a custom, Jewish men have the option. In addition, the Kippah represents the respect for God.

A Tzitzit is usually worn around the waist, this reminds them of their commandments.

Hindu's have many sacred believes and involve their clothing in their everyday lives. Traditional clothing for women is called a sari and it can be worn in different styles. A Choli is worn on top of the sari, also know as a blouse. For men, its very simple , they were a Dhoti, Lungi or a Kurta.

SOUTH AMERICA

Here are some of the values and morals of the clothing worn by different people who practice different religions. Their clothing plays an important role in their traditions and comes with plenty of historical relevance .
