In the beginning of the book Catherine has lived with her brother since he w born. Catherine is getting tried of all ways looking and taking after him because he has autism. Her mom and dad don't understand that all Catherine wants to do is hang out with her friends with out constantly getting brother getting in the way by doing something stupid.
In the middle of the book Catherine's best friend has to move away and a new girl takes her place in the old friends house. She then constantly worries about what she is wearing, how she acts around Kristi because Kristi is the kind of popular girl. Kristi as so becomes friends with Kyle who Catherine hates because he is mean to David.
Catherine all so goes to David's physical therapy because she enjoys drawing things around her there. Catherine all so meet a boy named Jason their who can not walk so he has to use a wheel chair. Jason can all so not talk so he has a book of words that he uses to tap on to speak. Catherine is constantly making him new words.
Why I liked and disliked the book
I liked the books because it was fun to see how Catherine interacted with different kinds of people. I only had one reason to dislike it and that was I wish that there was a second book to it because the author left us thinking allot of things that he didn't end with.
Ending
In the ending of the book, Catherine is asked to go to the dance by Jason. Catherine doesn't know what to say because she doesn't want to look like a fool in front of Kristi and Kyle. In the end she decides to go with Jason and they have a relay fun time even though Kristi is a little confused. Kristi and Catherine never really become friends in the end. Once Maddie comes back they become friends and everybody lives happily ever after.
All so Catherine accepts David that the isn't normal and there is nothing she can do about it.
Part I found interesting
I found the part where Catherine tried to get Kristi to go in the pond. Of course Kristi thought it was all gross and stuff because
she was a girly girl and no girly girl wants to do that.
All so Kyle came home when they went in the water so Kristi
ditched Catherine to go over to see kyle.
I found this interesting because how easy Kristi just ditched Catherine for a boy she liked, and a lot of people do that in
real life.
If i would have to pick a life connection to a event in the book it would be Catherine and Kristi how they are very different. This reminds me of me and my best friend Mackenzie how we are nothing alike.
