HABITAT

Coyote Symbiosis

Now I'm going to talk about the coyotes habitat. Coyotes live in North America, roam plains, forests, mountains,United States,Mexico, and Central America, they can go on small territory's like soccer fields and small parks.

WHAT THEY LOOKE LIKE

First I'm going to talk about what the coyote looks like.Coyote is a animal related to the dog, they are 6-ft half body length is bottles shape it weighs 20 to 50 lbs the male weighs 30 pounds and female versus weighs 25 pounds it has a whitish throat and chest,it has a grizzled coat it has a grayish brown reddish brown coat. Now lets talk about the coyotes face it has yellow eyes and black pupils it has a small nose pad and 42 teeth altogether.

BEHAVIOR

FOOD

SYMBIOSIS

This is the last thing I'm going to for identifying distinguishing characteristics about the coyote. Coyotes have high pitched voices and yip yap and bark for talking and how at daylight and night it hunts in a pack their aggressive since all of them want to be the leader. They are active early in the morning and sunset.

ENVIRONMENT ISSUES

Next I'm going to talk about the coyote food and how it gets its food. Coyotes eat rabbits, rodents, fish, frog, deer, canadian geese and it finds prey under snow using ears. They steal livestock at night and has speed 40 miles per hour chasing prey.Has keen vision for hunting and strong sense of smell for prey.

This topic is about the environment issues that impact coyotes. Coyotes impacted the eastern states in 1950.In 1990 in Chicago coyote population increase.Rodents increase a lot and decrease in diversity. Also in Chicago they killed 20 to 80 percent of fawns and take adult deers. In Chicago canadian geese is growing less rapidly and they take adult geese.

Resources

This is the end of my report and I'm going to talk the symbiosis between coyotes and badgers. There is mutualism between a coyote and a badger. The coyote and the badger track small burrowing animals such as ground squirrels, groundhog, chipmunks etc. When they hunt together its 30 percent more successful than the coyote alone. When prey is above coyote chases it down and if prey escapes badger digs through its burrow
