Did you know that you see

chronological order EVERY time

you watch a movie or TV show??

How????

Well think of it like this...

A story is told in a certain order. One event has to go FIRST. The NEXT event happens AFTER the FIRST and the story continues all the way until ...

the LAST event happens.

Movies, cartoons and television shows all tell a story!

So they all have chronological order!

A flashback can take you back in time in a

story. Chronological order stays in the order events happened in time.

Silent movies were very popular during the 1920s. The silent movies were usually accompanied by live music.

Some of the popular silent movies included "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Nosferatu."

During the 1920s, talkies were created. They were movies with sound that had been prerecorded and combined with the motion film.

Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse made his first debut on November 28th, 1928.

Steamboat Willie was the first ever sound cartoon.

Mickey Mouse has become the face of Disney.

The sound technology was not available on the West Coast so, the sound had to be created in New York.

History

College Students often held parties known as brawls, rubs, or work outs.

The dances that were popular at the parties were the Fox Trot, the Lindy, and the Charleston.

Petting parties were often held. They were parties in which the guests would kiss and hug.

Today You Will All Be

Story Board Artists!

Before these movies get to all of us in the theater, they starts off as just drawings placed in order from the first event to the last!

Here is What You Have to Do!:

1) Think about a time you want to write about (ex: My trip to Disney, When I lost my first tooth, My awesome touchdown when I played football...)

2) Think about the first thing that happened, and all the events that happened after that in chronological order. Write all of your events on the back of your Comic Strip Creation

3) On the front, label each box in order from left to right (First, Right After, Next, Then, Then, Last)

4) Draw the events in your comic strip!

What is Sequence of Events?

When you have completed all your work!

1) On a separate sheet of paper place the pictures in order

2) Write what you think happened in each box on the back of your paper to tell a story!!
