Heather Hoodhood is the older sister of Holling Hoodhood and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hoodhood.
My project for Wednesday Wars is on Heather Hoodhood.
Heather lives in Long Island, New York with the rest of the family. She attends a high school. Heather is what they often called a "flower child" which means that she believed in anti-war and strongly disapproved of our soldiers being deported to Vietnam.
Done by: Miranda
Heather's father did not support her beliefs at all. Her dream college was Columbia, but her father strongly disagreed because it is a big school with alot of protesting. Mr. Hoodhood feels that if Heather wants to think that way, she should not live with the family. Heather soon decides to run away with her boyfriend to "find herself". Halfway through her trip to California, she is alone and stuck in Minneapolis with little money to get her back to Long, Island.
Holling uses his savings bond to come to the rescue and bring his sister back home. She comes back, with a closer relationship with Holling and she believes that she found herself.
I think that Heather is a small protagonist because she is seen as a good person (not counting her sarcasm) and she does attempt to accomplish stuff in the story. I think Heather is a round character. She is a dynamic character because she does go through a change in the story.
