  • Built a spacious, grand, and legendary temple that still stands today (in fact you can visit it now)
  • After he died in 928 B.C. his kingdom split into two separate kingdoms
  • His descendants ruled the Southern kingdom

Who was Soloman

  • David's son
  • Had a reputation of great wisdom
  • When he was in rule of Jerusalem it prospered
  • Was famous for making world-renown, sounding proverbs
