Bucket List Poem

A "Bucket List" is a list of all the goals you want to achieve, dreams you want to fulfill, and adventures you wish to experience before you die.

Why have a bucket list?

Creating a bucket list of places you want to go or things you want to do can be a very helpful tool towards attaining your life goals. Having one gives you a master list of things you want to do before your time in this world ends. It’s like foreseeing what you want in the future and putting it in one list.

Making your own bucket list allows you to sort of plan out goals in a step by step process. It also gives you the ability to break down your goals into smaller and more doable activities.

Your turn!

Come up with as many items as you can for your bucket list. This is a list of everything you want to achieve, do, see, feel and experience in your life. The items should be things you have not done yet. Don’t stop until you finish listing at least 30 things!

Now that you have created a bucket list, it is time to use that list to create a poem.

As you write your bucket list poem, make sure you are creating sentences and expressing complete thoughts. You should not simply list all the items on your bucket list. The poem should convey your philosophy on how you want to live your life and reveal what you hope to accomplish in the future.

Bucket List Poem Requirements

  • The poem must be at least 20 lines long.
  • The poem must use 4 examples of figurative language.
  • The poem must be written in quatrains and have a consistent rhyme scheme.
  • The poem should include a minimum of 10 bucket list items.
