Students come to us from different backgrounds, family beliefs, and personal situations.
Teachers need to be provide open minded. Be willing to work with students, parents, staff, and administrators. We need to remember we are working to support creative, successful, and productive future adults. Provide class activities where students can share their opinions and life experiences with peers to promote diversity.
As teachers: we should participate in trainings on cultural awareness and learn about customs, traditions, typical family dynamics.
