What jobs do dogs do?
Dogs have very many jobs. Some of them are:
- Military dogs - scouting out ahead of soldiers and sniffing out bombs
- Service dogs - helping blind people find there way around or maybe even pull someone around in a wheelchair
- Police dogs - sniffing out drugs or guns. Also,they can make a suspect give up with a simple growl.
What are the smartest, fastest, and biggest breeds?
The smartest dog is the Border Collie. The second and third are the Poodle and German Shepard.
The fastest dog is the Greyhound with a speed of 43mph. Second and third are the Vizsla (40mph) and Jack Russell Terrier (38mph).
The biggest breed is the Great Dane, followed by the Mastiff and Neapolitan Mastiff.
How many dog breeds are there?
The American Kennel Club recognizes 202 breeds. If you were including mixes, wow! Way to many!
