its atomic mass number is around 58.69

Nickel is a silvery-white transition metal that is malleable and ductile.

Nickel's importance on earth

is useful because it is used to make substances such as silver, and alloys such as stainless stell alloys

-In the United States, the term "nickel" or "nick" was originally applied to the copper-nickel Indian cent coin introduced in 1859

-Coins of pure nickel were first used in 1881 in Switzerland.

-Back in the time, copper miners confused copper with nickel because they were in ores with a green tint.

Nickel's use in technolgy is such as

batteries for example nickel hydride batteries, electro planting and auto mobiles.
