Competitive Relationships

What Can Be Done

Competitve relationships are when two organisms compete for resources, such as food or water. In the Forbes' Parakeet's ecosystem, there are a few examples of this relationship. The Chatham Island Black Robin competes with the Red-Crowned Parakeet for insects. The Red-Crowned Parakeet also competes with the Forbes' Parakeet for insects, and the Forbes' Parakeet competes with the Chatham Island Black Crowned Parakeet for the insects, too. The Red-Crowned Parakeet and the Forbes' Parakeet also compete for shrub daisies and megaherbs.
