"I feel like the nursing program has a lot going for it. There’s so much about it that I like; it's very integrative and well-renowned."

The nursing program at Husson University is, to a large extent, a subculture of it's own. It is a specific division of a larger culture with similar views and interests, and membership requires certain qualifications.

Field notes taken during a freshman level nursing class provided raw, unedited data that led to these conclusions:

- Nursing classes interact differently than standard classes

- Nursing students tend to work together

- Nursing students and professors have enough in common to form interactive relationships
