The definition of a pulley is a wheel with a grooved rim around which a cord passes, which acts to change the direction of a force applied to the cord and is used to raise heavy weights.

Pulleys in tractors are used to turn the cylinders inside the engine. Pulleys in a tractor are used to transfer force to operate the tractor. Examples of pulleys in tractors are the chain, rope and belt or cable which are all used to transfer force.

Cars use pulleys to spin the fan belt turning the fans pulley blowing air onto the vehicles radiator.

Without pulleys a tractor would not be able to function and a car would not have air conditioning.

Both cars and tractors use wheels and axles to function.

The wheels and axles in a car are used when the steering wheel is moved causing the axle to move the wheels of the car or tractor. The wheels allows objects to be rotated and the axle allows the wheels to move or can be moved independently.

A steering wheel is also an example of a wheel and axle because an axle is used to help the steering wheel rotate causing the wheels of the car or tractor to move.

Without the wheel and axles tractors and cars would not be able to move defeating their purpose.

The definition of a lever is a bar resting on a pivot, used to move a heavy load with one end when pressure is applied to the other.

Levers in cars are used to make applying force easier, for example there is a lever when you open the car door and a lever to help the windshield whipper mechanism move. A lever is also used for the gear stick in manual cars to control the gears.

Tractors use levers every time they use the tractor's arm to move rocks or clear an area. Without levers cars and tractors would not be able to fully function.

The definition of a wedge is a piece of wood, metal, etc., with one pointed end and one thicker end that is used to split something, to fit into a space, to separate two things stuck together, etc.

Cars have wedges in the keys of to the car so that when they are put into the cars, the wedges in the key determine weither the key will turn or not and turn on the car. Another wedge in a car is the lock that the seat belt plugs into which keeps the belt in place and stops it from falling apart.

Wedges in tractors are used every time you pry rocks apart or dig up soil. The wedges in tractors are triangular shape and the force is pushed away from the wedge depending on how wide the angles of the triangle are.

Tractors often use wedges when they are plowing in the field.

The definition of a screw is a short, slender, sharp-pointed metal pin with a raised helical thread running around it and a slotted head, used to join things together by being rotated so that it pierces wood or other material and is held tightly in place.

Screws in cars are used to hold the car and hold pieces of machines inside the car together. The head and taillights are screws which hold the hole car in together.

The screws in a tractor do the same thing as they do in a car.

So without screws the cars and tractors would not be able to function and they would fall apart.
