Robert Fulton's invention of the steamboat greatly impacted the Industrial Revolution and improved the quality of many peoples' lives. It carried people, goods, and cut travel time in half. The steamboat was a huge start to the line of all great, motor powered boats.

Robert Fulton played a dramatic role in the Industrial Revolution. It would not have been the same without him. He was born on November 14, 1765 in Little Britain, Pennsylvania. On February 24, 1815 in New York, Fulton died due to sickness.
