What is the 3 pot method?
Sanitize in very warm water with a teaspoonful of bleach in it. Not too much bleach. A teaspoonful to a gallon is enough.
The three pot method is a cleaning strategy where you use three pots to clean your dishes.
Steps
– 1. Scrape the plates to get them as clean as possible.
– 2. First Pot: Wash in warm soapy water. Leave as much soap as possible in that first pan.
– 3. Second Pot: Rinse in cool water.
– 4. Third Pot: Sanitize in very warm water with a teaspoonful of bleach in it. Not too much bleach. A teaspoonful to a gallon is enough.
– 5. Air dry the dishes to let the bleach finish its job. Air drying is better than towel drying.
