As a group, we decided to make an advertizement about depression and suicide.
Specifically, an advertisement from a suicide hotline in which people can talk about their emotions and know that they're not alone.
It's undeniable that anyone could go through depression and experience suicidal behaviors and/or thoughts.
That's why it's important for EVERYONE
to be able to receive this aidance.
The dramatic and persevering appeal that it encourages makes the audience hopeful and more open-minded.
Even though people may not relate to this topic themselves, they could help others that are going through it.
Our advertisement will show a person going through a monotonous period of hopelessness.
That person–a man–is walking through the train station; he is anonymous. This is because he represents all people going through depression.
At the end, the man stepping on the yellow line represents 'giving up'.
We, the "Don't" Hotline, intervene as the woman who stops him from killing himself.
This is our way to give people
our help, and show them
we are there for them.
