The Haires
John Haire had a lumber camp on the Grand River by the rapids. People could get on and off the river at John Haire's lumber camp. Freight could also get on and off the river at John Haire's lumber camp.
The Lowings
Stephen Lowing and Holden Lowing had an argument that is still an inconvenience that causes problems to this day.

The Jenison family was the family that founded this town. Hiram Jenison bought the land. Luman and Lucius made the L &L Jenison Company. It was the first general store in Jenison.
The Three Fires were the : Ottawas, Potowatamis, and the Chippewas.
