Types of Point of View

Four types of point of view are 1st person, 2nd person, 3rd person limited, and 3rd person omniscient. 1st person show that you are the speaker. I, me, we,etc.,etc. 2nd person is when the narrator tells the story to another character using "you". 3rd person limited is when the narrator only knows the thoughts and feeling of one person using words like they, he, and she. 3rd person omniscient is when the narrator knows all the thoughts and feelings of all the characters in the story. The story is 1st person. Willa tells her emotions and what she thinks and what she sees.

Conflict Resolution

Candle Willa used to communicate

Conflict resolution is a way for two or more parties to find a peaceful solution to a disagreement among them. Willa is trying to figure out why Maria would lie about what she said about her and Wyatt and Wyatt is telling her not to hang out with her. Willa was also trying to convice Wyatt to let her go to a psychic and Wyatt ended up going with her to the psychic

Types of Conflict

Different Point of View

External conflict is a struggle between a literary or dramatic character and an outside force such as nature or another character which drives the dramatic action of the plot. Internal conflict is a psychological struggle within the mind of a literary or dramatic character, the resolution of which creates the plot's suspense. In the story, it is internal conflict because Willa was having problems caused by her mind . She though she saw a dead body in her pool and saw writing on the walls of her house and nobody else sees what she's seeing.

There are three types of conflict. Man

vs. Man, Man vs. Self, and Man vs. Nature.

Man vs. Man is when a character is having problems with another character. Man vs. Self is when a character is having problems

with themselves. Man vs. Nature is when a character is having problems with everything around them. In the story, it is both man vs. self. and man vs. nature. Willa thinks she is going crazy and is trying to shut herself out of the outside world. Willa thinks that the world is trying to tell her something.

If the story was in a different point of view it would change. We wouldn't know what Willa was thinking or what she sees. If it was in a different point of view, we would know what Willa's facial expressions look like.
