Each time during another war, the U.S.' economy was boosted just like during WW2. By the time it was 1990, the GDP had grown over 40%

After the war was over, the economy dropped once again, but not as low as it once was., and the economy was still growing over time.

The economy during WW2 really took off. WW2 was the main reason that the Great Depression ended, and the economy went back to normal.

Once the war was over, the economy went back down, but it wasn't dirt deep like during the Great Depression, and Americans could finally get some "normalcy" in their life.

In order to make supplies for the war, the government had to start spending money. This got jobs for many of the people who were unemployed.

The economy before the war started was horrid. Only an extremely small part of money was being spent, and too many people were unemployed.

Three years later, into the war, in 1944 the GNP almost doubled, it was 135 billion dollars, and each year they spend even more and the economy

The unemployment rate was about 13.3 percent of Americans, which is about 11.5 million who are unemployed.

Before World War II, U.S. was in an economic crisis. The stock market crashed and they were in the Great Depression. The country's GNP (the measure of a country's economic performance) was at a low 88 billion.
