Human Development Index (HDI) is a tool that is used to show life expectancy, education, and income. The Human Development Index is important because it implies whether a country is developed, still developing, or underdeveloped. The HDI is still being used and updated each year to draw the attentions to the governments, and to international organizations. Well when data is collected from countries it is collected by the UN (United Nations) Now the reason that some countries dont have data is because those countries arent a part on the UN so they are not included in the surveys. This is because they UN is only made up of representatives from certain countries and some countries are not included. This is why they have no data.
Countries have lower living standards because in some places people are less educated, and can not produce as much, or are unable to afford goods.
Countries have higher living standards because some people produce a lot more then people in other countries. Places such as Canada have a higher living standard because it is a wealthy country and there are many job opportunities for people to earn money.
Well places like Canada that have very high Expectancy rates, Literacy rates and Living standards are usually developed countries. Where as the countries near the bottom of those lists are developing countries so higher up countries dont help those countries somewhat don't get me wrong but they eventually stop helping them because they get into conflicts and such and the higher countries don't want to blow all there money.
When I think of countries that have most of the same quality of life as Canada, the country that I think of is the United States. Literacy, life expectancy, and living standards (the three L's) are very similar. Although Canada dose have better number the United States is pretty close.
