Different Types of Motion

2-Dimensional

2-Dimensional motion is a motion when an object moves straight, and in curved lines.

Circular

Circular motion is a motion when an object moves in the circumference in a circle, or rotation along a circular path.

An example of 2-Dimensional motion in real life would be a satellite revolving around Earth, and a car driving around a circle drive.

1-Dimensional

1-Dimensional motion is a motion when an object is moving in a straight line.

An example of circular motion in real life would be a Ferris wheel, and someone doing a cartwheel.

Pendulum

Pendulum motion is a motion when an object swings back and forth without friction.

An example of 1-Dimensional motion in real life would be a person walking down the hallway, and a car driving down a straight road.

An example of pendulum motion in real life would be would be a pendulum on a grandfather clock, and a swing.
