What is it?
HARMONY SCIENCE ACADEMY - WACO
FRC TEAM - 2950 - DEVASTATORS

So, you say you're interested in joining the
"Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind."
A robotics competition for grades 9-12 with a large scale robot that usually performs a sports centered task.

WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM TEAM MEMBERS?
EACH AND EVERY
attendance AND participation at ALL workdays

only those students with the highest amount of participation will be asked to travel with team.

focuses on building the robot
Pre-building the robot in Computer Aided Design (CAD)
All engineering members (CAD’ers specifically) can earn their official SolidWorks Certification since we now have training software given by FIRST.

Everyone does it - it’s quite possibly the most important job at the competition…
involves meeting cute guys/girls
no complaining - stay home if you don’t wanna do it.
Need Scouting Master to help run the scouting. Training is available 1-2 people can take this job.
Lack of sleep

EVERYONE HAS TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE ROBOT AND OUR TEAM IF YOU TRAVEL WITH US!
judges and other teams will ask you questions and you DO NOT want to make our team look bad (Cortez will yell and flap her arms)
interviews and evaluations
will determine if you have the drive to provide what the team needs to be successful

Usually only a max of 21 students will travel and that’s MAX
what will keep me from traveling?
