How Accurate Is DNA Analysis?

DNA Data Confusion

Even though everyone's DNA is different the amount of DNA that is tested is only a small fraction of a persons entire DNA; Thus it is not very reliable.

Conclusion

In conclusion, DNA testing may be a great form of identifying a suspect, biological parent, etc. but it also has it's cons.

Never 100% accurate

A DNA test will never be 100% accurate because, although it can be 99.9% accurate, there is a 0.001% chance that a father can be matched to a child just by chance.

0.001% = 1 in 100,000

0% OR 99.99%

A DNA test will never show a 60%, 70%, 80%, etc. The test result will either be 0% or 99.99% this makes it not only easier but more clear to those whom are reading the results.
