in 1887 he went to Paris to study law!
but in 1889 he began to paint when his mother brought him the supplies.
as soon as he began, he knew it was his life.

Claude Monet died of lung cancer in December of 1926 at age 86!
only about 50 people attended his funeral on the behalf of his request.
later, he signed a 7 year contract with the army..
but his art got in the way and he ended up getting out in 2 years.
