Orwell's satire presents the audience to see the absurdity of Communism. This story creates a fairly effective metaphor to explain the historical event. Orwell is also able to set an ironic tone that accentuates the idea of pig-like leaders who change into the same former oppressors. Orwell is not kind to capitalists, In the end, the pigs resemble the men who are also the pigs to show that the animals can no longer tell them apart.
Rhetorical device
Animal Farm is a satire through which Orwell indirectly bashes on the Russian Communism. Through a humorous and effective allegory, Orwell Points his attack on the events of the Russian Revolution and on the totalitarian regime Through humor we realize the absurdity more than if we were presented it in a non-fictional account or statistical analysis.
Rhetorical components
Orwell used different animals to symbolize the real life character. For example he used pigs to represent the leaders because pigs are highly intelligent and they aren't seen as sympathetic or admirable. He also chose to use dogs as the KGB because dogs are seen as fierce and loyal to there owners. By using animals he is showing the real life peoples characteristics and traits through them.

Animal farm written by George Orwell is an example of an allegory because its a fable. the animals talking and surreality, in which animal farm would also fall because it is a story about animals, a farm, and their treatment but it is showing the flaws in the russian government at the time it was written.
