April 1965 - Australia’s first combat troops land in Vietnam

May 1970 - First moratorium against Vietnam in Australia.

1st June 1963 - The first Australian serviceman in killed in Vietnam.

Dec 17 1967 - Harold Holt drowns at Cheviot Beach in Victoria

1972 - National Service is abolished.

Jan 1969 - Australian forces in South Vietnam
