Chile’s Easter Island is known for its 867 statues. These sculptures of volcanic rock, are believed to represent deceased chiefs or gods, and stand as tall as 20 feet

Chile has the world’s largest reserves of copper—around one-quarter of the global supply—and is the number one exporter of copper in the world.

A popular event on the Chilean island of Chiloé is the minga, which bring the whole community together to move a house. The Chiloéns mount the house on tree trunks, and then the house is pulled by oxen to the new site
