Early Life
Herman Webster Mudgett or better known by his alias H.H. Holmes was America's first documented serial killer. He confessed to killing 27 people, but only 9 could be confirmed; it is said that he has killed as many as 200 people.
As a child he grew up with his father's strict discipline. Mudgett was also bullied as a child and he said he had been forced to touch a human skeleton, after bullies found out about his fear of the local doctor's office; instead of scaring him, it fascinated him.
