H.H Holmes was born on May 16 1861 in New Hampshire. We all know he lived an interesting life as an adult, but what happened before he became America's first known serial killer.
Amoung Holmes' 4 wives, he had 2 children.
Before becoming a murderer, Holmes was focused on his future. Growing up he started to become interested in medicine and started to perfrom cruel surgerys on animals.
Over Holmes' life he had a total of 4 wives. But the problem with this is he never divorced any of them. He would marry one, leave them, and then marry another while the other wife had no clue about the other.

Holmes was the son of Levi Horton Mudgett and Theodate Paige Price raised what was the be known as an intelliegnt young boy that went to college at the University of Michigan.
Holmes married his first wife Clara at the age of 17. Two years later they also had a son together named Robert. A couple years later he attended college and his and Clara's marriage fell apart so Holmes abandoned Clara and their son.
Lucy is the daughter of H.H. Holmes and his 2nd wife Myrta. They moved away together and when Lucy grew up she became a member of the Red Cross for WW1. She was married twice before dying in 1956 with no children.
Robert was the son of Holmes and his first wife Clara. There is no recorded information on Robery besides they estimate his death occurred in 1956.
While he was still married to Clara, Holmes married his second wife Myrta in 1887. Together they also had a daughter named Lucy. For the next few years they lived together in Illinois.
Holmes third was Georgiana Yoke. They married in 1894, while him and Myrta were still married! They moved to Colorado to live together before Holmes was convicted and sentenced to death.
Minnie Holmes was Holmes' fourth wife. She met him while staying at his hotel during the World's Fair. The two ended up getting married and eventually Holmes' killed her. Minnie was the only wife Holmes killed.
Holmes was never a family man considering he left all his wives and never actually wanted any kids either. It is also said he had many affairs with his hotel guests.
