How can we trust Him?

I John 4:18

"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear."

Everybody has fears.

God knows, and He talks to us about it. Fear is mentioned 326 times in the Bible! Over and over again, God says, "Do not be afraid." But how is that possible?

Let's take a look.

What if we DO learn to trust Him?

Psalm 34:9

"Oh, fear the Lord,

you His saints,

for those who fear Him have no lack."

Final Destination

If we trust God more than we fear the world, we open ourselves up to the blessings God has waiting for us!

Psalm 28:7a

Psalm 28:7a

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped.

What can happen if we don't give our fears to God?

Romans 8:15

"For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, Abba! Father!"

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped."

We can become slaves to fear. Our fears can grow- sometimes out of control, and keep us from the blessings God has for us.

Fear is a prison.

What if we don't want to be afraid anymore?

How can we stop?

Isaiah 41:13

"For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; It is I who say to you, 'Fear not, I am the one who helps you.'"

Our world is full of fear.

Why shouldn't we be afraid?

Isaiah 41:10

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

The Lord is my ___________
