Charles Browne Fleet was born September 18, 1843 in Caroline County, Virginia. He died on May 12, 1916 in lynchburg, Virginia. He was a pharmacist and inventor of chapstick. When he was alive chapstick didn't have much success but after he died it skyrocketed.

Chapstick now has different shapes like circle stick and new flavors like strawberry, mint, vanilla, raspberry, and more.

The obstacles of making Chapstick

Charles fleet invention didn't succeed right away. It didn't look good it looked like a candle in tinfoil most people didn't want to buy it for that reason.
