what is the difference between a foul and a violation?

Answer to main question

Now answering the main question, what is the difference between a foul and a violation. A foul is an incident that is a lot more serious than a violation, it occurs when there is personal contact with opponent. Now in the other hand a violation is a minor class of illegal action, a great example can be like stepping out of the line, that is violation, there is no physical contact happening

Examples of fouls and violations

A violation is the most minor class of illegal action. Most of the violations happen by the team that haves the ball, when a player mishandles the ball or makes a wrong move. The typical penalty for a violation is loss of the ball to it's opposing team.
