The AFSC is a Quaker organization that includes people of various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace, and humanitarian service. A. After threatening suspension, the students involved have separate conversations about what happened with an administrator and agree to squash their beef.
B. The students involved are sent to ISS where they have an opportunity to talk about what happened and agree that they took things too far and shouldn't have fought.

C. After ISS the students are sent to Peer Mediation where they and their peers decide an apology is needed to the teacher and the class in order to repair the harm done by the fight.

Rather than simply punishing offenders, restorative practices hold students accountable for their actions by involving them in face to face encounters with the people they have harmed.
