heart beats 100, 000 a day

“Ventricle” means “little belly” in Latin where as “Atrium” is Latin for “entrance hall”.

5 quarts of blood pumps every minutes

About 8 million blood cells die in the human body every second, and the same number are born each second.

It takes about 20 seconds for a red blood cell to circle the whole body

Within a tiny droplet of blood, there are some 5 million red blood cells.

The power output of the heart ranges from 1-5 watts per minute. Which is the equivalent to the usage of a 60 watt bulb. It has said that enough energy is produced a day to drive a truck 20 miles.

Due to the heart having its own electrical impulse, it will continue to beat even when removed from the body as long as it has an adequate supply of oxygen.

We actually mean it!

Bye!!

Thank you for watching!

How the heart

works

THE END

Oxygen, rich blood enters

the left side of the heart

composed of left atrium and

left ventricle,

and is pumped through

the aorta to the body

to supply tissues with the oxygen.

Also the lungs refresh the blood

with new supply, and the oxygen

making it turn red.

Heart

Nervous-

Circulatory

The circulatory system supplies nutrients to the

nervous system.

And the nervous system

returns the favor

by increasing stimulation

of the heart when you lay down.

What is Circulatory

System?

Digestive-

Ciculatory

The circulatory system is

made up of the vessels

and the muscles

that help and control the

flow of the blood

around the body.

The digestive system

breaks down food so

that it can be absorbed

into the circulatory system.

It then carries the nutrients

to the tissues to use

and removes metabolic wastes.

Diseases

Respiratory-

Circulatory

arteriosclerosis

the fatty deposits in the arteries causes the walls to stiffen and thicken it.

The Respiratory system

gets oxygen into

the Circulatory system

that takes the oxygen,

through the blood stream,

to other parts of the body.

Facts

hypertension

commonly called high

blood pressure,

causes the heart to work

harder and can lead to such complications as a heart attack,

a stroke, or kidney failure.

aortic aneurysm

occurs when the aorta is

damaged and starts to bulge

or eventually tear,

which can cause severe

internal bleeding.
