4 Stages of play !
A child is in a room full of other children, but he/she is playing alone and not paying attention to anyone.
Cooperative Play
Children are working together to play a game.
Parallel Play
Children are playing the same game or activity. They are playing next to each other, but they are not talking or doing the same activity.
Associative Play 3rd Stage
Children are playing the same game, but they are not working together or connecting with one another.
At this third stage most children are still playing independently but often do the same thing as other children. For example, if one child puts on a dress-up outfit, another child will put one on also. The children will begin to interact through talking, borrowing and taking turns with toys, but each child acts alone.
