Influential People
My dad Tony Hare is another influence in my life.
He is the hardest working man I know. His work ethic and determination is inspiring. He has always taught me valuable life lessons that are key for success in life. He makes me want to strive to be a better person.
My Grandmother Carolyn King is an influential person in my life. As life moved on my grandmother became a very influential person in my life. She has had many life experiences and through her sharing these with me they have influenced me to be better and do better. She has taught me many things and allowed me to experience many different things in my life. This influence has shaped my life and made me a better person. I admire her and her life. I often turn to her for guidance and support in my life. She is a refreshing positive light that is encouraging!
One difficulty I faced at a
young age was dealing with my mothers mental illness and addiction. I had to grow up very quickly to take care of my sister and often feared my mother would die.
When I was a sophomore in college, my parents got a divorce. This was very difficult for my sister and I. I was away from home and my sister witnessed this event first hand. She would often call in fear about different situations that had happened at the house. My dad was wrongfully accused by my mother one night and put in jail. My mother put a restraining order on her and my sister, which was ultimately lifted and the divorce later followed. Hearing my sister scream on the phone as they took my dad away was traumatic for me. I then had to go to my childhood home to pick up all of my dad's belongings. There were over 20 years of my dads things in that home. Piling all of that into a truck very quickly while my mom screamed and threw things at me was another traumatic event. My dads charges were all later dropped. Her mental illness was so bad during this time this was the result.
Difficulties and Hardships
I have had three close relatives pass
away in the last 6 years. My great grandmother Mozelle George passed away at the age of 94 6 years ago. A few months later my cousin Justin Baty passed away at the age of 31 from a motorcycle accident where he was drinking and driving. He passed the day before fathers day 6 years ago. Lastly, my grandfather H.L. King passed away last November 2 days after thanksgiving. He died from a massive heart attack unexpectedly. He is buried at the DFW National Cemetery.
Walt Disney
American Filmmaker
Influences
Walt Disney was an incredible filmmaker who had a big influence in the American culture. He inspired many young children through his films with many emotions and life lessons. He created a billion dollar company with his innovations through animation and theme park design.
My family is very strong
in many ways.
1. Care for others
2. Determined
3. Hard Workers
4. Always gathering for celebrations, holidays, and birthdays
Strengths and Resources
My family has a few resources that are helpful. My grandmother and grandfather built a strong life for themselves so that they would be able to provide a life for their family. My grandfather began working for the Coca-Cola company and my grandmother worked for TU Electric. These jobs allowed security financially for our family. My grandfather was also very invested in the stock market and a smart business man when it came to investing. He has provided for our family and helped all of us in many ways.
Walt Disney influenced my life as a young child in many ways. I learned many life lessons and felt joy every time I would watch his movies. For example, I learned to be kind to one another and not to say unkind things to others from the movie Bambi. It brought my family together as well. I now share these videos with my students and we share in this same joy.
Supporting Evidence
Implications for teaching
When speaking to someone it is important
for you to look them in the eyes. It is a sign of respect. If you look away, it is considered rude.
In our ethnic group greetings are a big
part of communicating and show respect.
For example, saying "hello" can be done with
a handshake, wave, or even a hug. Similar gestures are used for saying "goodbye".
Physical Attributes
One of my talents is painting. I love to take blank pieces of furniture or canvas and create works of art!
I like to run with my husband and
my dog Spot. Exercising is very important as well as spending time together. This is a way for us to mix these two important things.

When in a group of people you will find me:
Hosting, offering food or drinks to others, talking to everyone, laughing, telling stories, organizing events, mingle, asking how others are doing, asking about events in others lives.
