What is it?

Who is he?

The Hydrogen Bomb was a bomb opposite an Atomic bomb created in 1952. An atomic bomb splits elements making the remainder of the mass appearing as energy. Unlike the Atom bomb, the hydrogen bomb functions by the fusion of elements. This also appears as energy. Extremely high temperatures are required for fusion therefore the hydrogen bomb is also known as a thermonuclear bomb.

Edward Teller was the "father of the hydrogen bomb". Even though he never wanted that title for himself.

Inventions

Teller invented not only the Hydrogen Bomb, but also helped to create the Atomic Bomb as the assistant director during the Manhatten Project.

A famous saying

Edward Teller had many, many sayings and quotes. His most famous one was, "The main purpose of Science is simplicity and as we understand more things, everything is becoming simpler". What he meant was that when we learn things, what we already knew is easier than originally thought. Edward Teller finally died on September 9, 2003.
