There is a severe hunger crisis in Tanzania at the moment. Seasonal rains have not come and crops are dying. Sadly many children have died of malnutrition and hunger.

Tanzania is in Africa. The largest city is Dar es Salaam. It's official name is The United Republic of Tanzania. Their currency is Tanzanian shilling. Tanzania is the largest country in Eastern Africa. Kilimanjaro is the highest point in Africa.

1 third of Tanzanians are Christian.

The main religions in Tanzania are:

In most towns they don't have churches so they have mass outside.

Tanzanian women wear lots of beads the more beads they wear the richer they are. They wear lots of bright colours.

Tradition

Their traditional dance is called the Ngoma. It is a very important dance to Tanzanian people.
