NaCl & H2O Vs. H20

Conclusion

Since H20 is more polar than H20 & NaCl the dyes were more polar because they moved all the way with the H20 but they did not fully move from starting point on the paper in the H2O & Na Cl solution.

1. Fill 1 beaker with 20 mL of H2O

2. Fill the next beaker with 20mL H2O and 20 mL NaCl(salt)

3. Put 6 different dyes on chromatography paper(x2)

4. Put the papers in each of the solutions

5. Wait for the dyes and solutions to move up the paper
