HOW TO WRITE A LEAFLET
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
- Decide on which topic you are going to focus on. You must be clear about what you want to say .
- Research the topic to find accurate information.
- Think about an appealing title and slogan.
- Choose motivating pictures to illustrate your points.
- Try to think of colours for the text and for the background.
WHAT IS A LEAFLET?
It’s a type of open letter or postcard. It’s designed to be handed out to people (by hand, by post, found inside newspapers, or left in popular places where people are likely to take or see one...).
STRUCTURE OF THE LEAFLET
- Title and slogan - Get attention: catchy slogans; rhetorical questions
- Introduction and different sections - Present facts everybody needs to know and be persuaded to do something
- Subheadings - Informative heading for different sections
- Pictures or photos - Attractive pictures that illustrate the points you are trying to make
